Shadow is a shape created in between two lines: physical edge of an object created with my hands, and ephemeral edge of light. Although these lines should resemble each other, properties of the lines differ; one is rugged, rigid, and strict, while the other is soft, passing, and distanced. Line created by me is a physical execution of consciousness imitating the idea of line, while the other is a resemblance created by something foreign yet very familiar. In arranging the two lines at my will, I am guided by collaborations of consciousness and unconsciousness. Conscious movement of my hands positioning the physical line is influenced by unconscious decision on desired similarity of the lines.
