ABOUT THE ARTIST

Lucia Pescador, born in 1943 in Voghera, Italy, graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and has taught at an art school. She focuses on themes of memory, nature, culture, and art. She began to exhibit in 1965 at Arte Centro Gallery in Milan, now Lattuada Studio. She was a member of the Group Metamorphosis in the '70s - '80s working alongside colleagues Benedini, Bonelli, Sterlocchi. Since the early 1990s, she has worked on her "Inventory of the 20th Century with the Left Hand," cataloging cultural fragments from various global traditions on diverse materials. Her work combines and rearranges these fragments into cohesive visual narratives. She has exhibited widely, including significant shows in Milan, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, and Shanghai, continually expanding her inventory with new themes and elements.
