ABOUT THE ARTIST
Pierluigi de Lutti (b. 1959, Monfalcone, Italy) left home at 17 to pursue studies and sports in Ferrara. His artistic journey began in the 1980s when he returned to Friuli and connected with Luciano Chinese’s “Nuovo Spazio” Gallery and art critic Paolo Rizzi. He also engaged with the Art Atelier of Master Giuseppe Zigaina and received commentary from poet Mario Stefani. Initially appreciated by both the public and local critics, de Lutti transitioned from Figurative to Informal painting in the 1990s through Abstractism courses in Los Angeles and New York.
In 2005, he began collaborating with Galleria d’Arte Orler, gaining significant public interest. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York included his work "Doppie Ferite" (2001) in their Bookstore Catalogue "Present Spiritualism" and invited him to join "The Artist’s Viewing Program." In 2008, he won an international art prize and received a degree in Art History from Università di Verbano with an honorary title as a painter and sculptor. He later started cooperating with DJT Fine Art Gallery in New York.
